Toxins
Toxins and chemicals are everywhere in our society. In the air we breath, the water we drink and the food we eat. It is becoming increasingly important to remove these toxins from our bodies. Toxins and chemicals have been linked to many of today's illnesses including cancer in all forms including lung cancer, stomach cancer, breast cancer and leukemia. Autoimmune disease including fibromalgia , lupus and arthritis. Birth defects, pulmonary disease, cardiovascular disease, weakened immune systems and obesity. According to many authorities, 80% of all illness and disease are caused by toxins.
I have collected here a few articles that talk about the link between toxicity and illness and the fact that removing these toxins is the key to preventing, alleviating and many times curing these illnesses and diseases. I have included excerpts from some of these articles as well as links to the full article.
High Tech Health – Our Toxic World
“ Studies show that most of us have between 400 and 800 chemical residues stored in our cells. EPA studies reveal that 100% of people tested have dioxins, PCBs, dichlorobenzene, and xylene in their fat cells, and carcinogenic benzene (89%) and percholoethlylene (93%) in their exhaled breath. These are just small examples of an epidemic problem.”
“Unable to be excreted from the body, chemicals find their way into our liver, and then migrate to fat cells in organs throughout the body where they are stored. When our bodies exceed the limit for toxins we can excrete, those too are stored. Chemicals and heavy metals make up our "total toxic burden". This bioaccumulation compromises our physiological and psychological health and leads to chronic disease.”
Science Daily - Even Very Low Levels Of Environmental Toxins Can Damage Health
“What this means, say the researchers Donald Wigle of the University of Ottawa and Bruce Lanphear of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, is that there are simply no safe levels of exposure to these toxins and they must be "virtually eliminated to protect human health."”
Stress May Increase Cancer Risk
An article entitled “Stress May Increase Cancer Risk” talks about the effects of stress to increase cancer risk. A combination of cleansing and proper nutrition has the effect of balancing brain chemistry and relieving stress.

Healthy Children Project - Dioxins
“Dioxins do not decompose readily and are eaten by our beef and dairy cattle in feeds and foraging areas. The poisons are then stored in the animals' fatty tissue.”
“Our primary exposure (about 95%) to dioxins is by eating them in the fat of meats, dairy products, and fish we consume. We may be exposed by breathing them as well.”
“Recent research suggests it does accumulate over one's lifetime in fat tissue.”
Lindane Education And Research Network - Environmental Medicine, Part 1: The Human Burden of Environmental Toxins and Their Common Health Effects
“Chemical compounds ubiquitous in our food, air, and water are now found in every person. The bioaccumulation of these compounds in some individuals can lead to a variety of metabolic and systemic dysfunctions, and in some cases outright disease states. The systems most affected by these xenobiotic compounds include the immune, neurological, and endocrine systems. Toxicity in these systems can lead to immune dysfunction, autoimmunity, asthma, allergies, cancers, cognitive deficit, mood changes, neurological illnesses, changes in libido, reproductive dysfunction, and glucose dysregulation.”

GTR News - Environmental Toxins Pose Serious Health Risk
“A study by The British Medical Journal says that 75 percent of most cancers are caused by environmental and lifestyle factors. A report by the Columbia University School of Public Health estimates that 95 percent of cancer is caused by diet and environmental toxicity; in addition, most Americans have between 400 and 800 chemicals stored in their bodies, typically in fat cells. ”
“When these substances are constantly present, our body’s natural detoxification systems become less effective. In fact, the ability to remove these dangerous toxins becomes diminished and they are stored in adipose (fat) tissues. The EPA states all humans harbor chemicals; 100 percent of human fat sampled contains stored dioxins, PCBs, dichlorobenzene, styrene and xylene.”
“No one can predict the effect of the load or combination of the hundreds of chemicals stored in each person. The problem is that once these toxins enter the body, we do not have the metabolism to get rid of them. We build up a toxic load until we finally reach that crucial amount which damages body chemistry and triggers a symptom or disease. Bioaccumulation of heavy metals is dangerous to human health.”
“Another problem is that chemicals use up or deplete essential detoxification nutrients that could or should have been used to protect us from all disease and aging.”
breastcancer.org - Dietary Fat May Not Contribute Directly to Risk
“It's also important to remember, however, that dietary fat may be unhealthy for other reasons. For instance, animal fat may contain toxins, and environmental toxins are stored in body fat. So the more body fat you have, the more potentially cancer-causing toxins you're storing.”

“Chemical exposure is one of the major contributors to low vitality.”
“Some chemical exposures acts to suppress immunity, while other cause the immune system to overreact.”... “In cases where the immune system acts to suppress immunity, it leaves one open to infections and viruses. When the immune system overreacts it leads to autoimmune diseases in which the immune system actually attacks the body's own cells. Arthritis, lupus, and some thyroid disorders are examples.”
“Toxins are at the root of most diseases, and once they are removed, health and well being return. An effective detoxification plan removes the source of disease symptoms, such as aspartame or radiation poisoning, detoxifies toxic residue from the body, and replaces specific nutrients to regain a state of wellness. Detoxing the body removes toxins from chemicals quickly and can actually remove most chemical toxins from your body tissues and body organs, from your water stores, and from fat stores within your bloodstream, along with assisting in the elimination of those toxins via the bowels and pores of the body.”
